As temperatures soar, Action House is enjoying a heatwave of its own with the highest number of lots catalogued by a UK auctioneer in a single month for six years.
Last week auctions took place in locations as far apart as Cumbria and Devon. By the end of July, 600 residential and commercial properties will have gone under the hammer at 27 auctions throughout the UK.
The busy month follows a good first half to the year for Auction House during which its sales rose by 11%.
Ian Hughes, of Auction House Liverpool, believes that the impressive performance bodes well for the brand and for the sector as a whole.
“We’ve had a very good first half to the year,” he says. “We offered 1,614 lots and delivered a success rate of 77.6% with sale prices showing significant growth.
“Sales of commercial lots have done well and rural stock is in strong demand, along with building land and refurbishments.
“Investments is proving to be a growth area for Auction House, with more landlords selling tenanted stock to new investors on the fall of the hammer.”
Auction House’s growth will continue next month when Auction House Scotland holds its first Aberdeen auction.
Since its Glasgow launch twelve months ago, Auction House Scotland has raised £11.5m from a success rate of 70%.
Now they are looking forward to their first auction in the north of the country where they will be offering properties for sale across the Highlands and Islands and the Grampian area.
