Auction House is celebrating after becoming the first UK property auctioneer to sell over 3,000 lots in a single year since 2008.
During 2014 the award winning company sold 3,058 properties from the 3,903 offered at its regional auctions throughout the country, equating to a success rate of 78.3 per cent.
The figures represent an impressive 17 per cent increase on the sales achieved in 2013 and significantly surpass the average sector growth of just 2 per cent. In total Auction House’s performance raised in excess of £360 million.
In a press release Auction House said: “It’s a spectacular achievement and only the fourth time the 3,000 lot figure has been exceeded in UK auctioneering history.
“It means that Auction House now has a national market share of more than 11 per cent of residential and commercial lots combined.
“In other words, one in every nine auction lots sold across the country is being sold by us.”
The statement continues to say that, when the company was founded in 2007, they pledged to revolutionise the UK auctions industry by selling local properties to local buyers through a network of local auction rooms.
Today this policy is resulting in more and more private, national and corporate clients turning to Auction House as the property auctioneer of choice.
This has led to the company expanding over the past twelve months, with new auction rooms opening in Derbyshire, Essex, Staffordshire, Hampshire, North Wales and Dorset, bringing the total to 40.
“Private sellers are choosing the auction method of sale in greater numbers because of the speed and certainty it offers.
“Plus more national and corporate instructions are being directed into regional auctions, with Auction House leading this switch and delivering a near 100 per cent success rate on repossession and receivership stock,” Auction House explains.
This year Auction House has over 220 auctions scheduled and is anticipating that 2015 will prove equally as successful as 2014.
