Auction House looks forward to Record Results after passing Milestone

Auction House is anticipating a record breaking 2014 after passing the 2,000 lots sold milestone. The award winning property auctioneer passed the milestone at the end of September, by which time 2,069 lots had been sold at its regional auctions.

Auction House became the first UK auctioneer to reach the figure this year and, significantly, made the breakthrough four weeks earlier than in 2013.

Furthermore the group is approaching the end of another record breaking month, with 659 lots entered into its 30 October auctions.

Charles Lovell, Auction Manager at Auction House Beds & Bucks, described passing the 2,000 lots milestone as “yet another phenomenal achievement for the group” and added that to do so ahead of last year – and break the monthly record for lots entered – is “an impressive performance.”

“With the private treaty market now stuttering in many areas and estate agent sales taking longer than ever, more and more sellers are turning to the speed and certainty provided by auction.

“Our regional sales are also delivering strong prices and fast results. Auctions really are becoming a mainstream alternative to private treaty,” Lovell explained.

Auction House is now looking forward to a further burst of sales activity which the group hopes could lead to record results for 2014.

This week Auction House has 10 auctions taking place throughout the UK, beginning in Berkshire on Tuesday 28th October and ending in East Anglia on Friday 31st October.
