Auction House is midway through a busy month during which the award winning property auctioneer has no fewer than 27 auctions taking place throughout the UK.
The hectic schedule began at the National Space Centre on 2 July where Auction House Leicestershire sold 84% of the six lots offered raising a total of over £418,000.
One of the highlights of the sale was a two bedroom mid-terraced house with a guide price of between £70,000 and £80,000. Following competitive bidding, the Belgrave property sold for £115,250.
During the same week Auction House Scotland offered 51 lots for sale in Glasgow. Thirty two of these were sold, either prior to auction or in the room, raising £1,440,600.
In the North West Auction House Liverpool sold 74% of the lots offered while Auction House Lancashire and Auction House Manchester had success rates of 72% and 70% respectively.
Other auctions taking place during the first half of July include those held by Auction House West Yorkshire, where 80% of the lots were sold, and Auction House Stephenson & Son where £912,000 was raised.
Meanwhile Chris Edwards, of Auction House Birmingham, has been named Auctioneer of the Year at the Auction House Conference.
Accepting the accolade Chris said; “I am delighted to have won this award on behalf of the whole team here at Auction House Birmingham. It shows that hard work and dedicated professional service and advice pays off.”
