Six adventurous professionals from the Bristol and Cardiff offices of global real estate advisor DTZ have successfully completed the gruelling Brecon Beacons 10 Peaks Challenge on behalf of charity.

DTZ surveyors Ben Johnson, Jo Williams, Christian Crawfurd, Andrew Flower, Laura Halse and Matthew Wales rose to the challenge impressively, completing the gruelling 36 kilometre trek in a time of just 9 hours 16 minutes and 39 seconds – easily within the 10 hour deadline.
So far, this feat has seen them raise just under £3000 for the Youth Adventure Trust, a charity which supports vulnerable young people. With the help of the DTZ funding initiative the team was also awarded the prize for raising the most money.
Ben Johnson spoke of the team’s delight after completing the challenge, and of raising a fantastic sum for a great cause.
He said; “The day was warm and windy with thick fog shrouding the initial summits, but the team battled on through the clouds of midges, testing our endurance and teamwork to complete the challenge and finishing in fifth place overall.
“We are delighted with the total raised so far and would like to thank everyone who has donated and supported us.”

The Youth Adventure Trust works with vulnerable young people from Year 7 to Year 9 over a period of three years, allowing them to gain confidence, work as part of a team and, most importantly, to fulfil their potential by learning skills to help them lead positive lives in the future.
By donating almost £3000 to this worthwhile charity, DTZ’s Cardiff and Bristol offices will provide the funding to sponsor a child through the three year Youth Adventure Programme.
