Owner Charles Reynolds believes that the purchase of the unit will enable the business to grow. He says; “It is a significant milestone since the company was founded fifteen years ago and we are delighted to have secured the new facility at Walker Business Park facilitating our growth objectives for the coming years.

“We look forward to further recruitment of key staff and providing an excellent working environment.”

Part funded by the EU ERDF Convergence Programme, the £5 million Walker Business Park scheme is the first speculative employment space to be developed in the Truro area in almost 20 years.

As a means of keeping business costs down each unit in the park was designed with great eco-credentials and to provide both flexible use and scale, allowing businesses from a wide range of sectors the ability to snap up the versatile space.

Walker Business Park lies on the edge of Truro and provides excellent transport links both into the city centre and to the wider Cornwall area via the arterial A30 trunk road.

The site offers B1, B2 and B8 planning permission, meaning that the hybrid industrial units offer an excellent opportunity for businesses from professional services firms to manufacturers seeking expansion.

“We have worked with great designers to create an attractive, fit-for-purpose-work environment we can be proud of,” said Maureen Walker.

“All buildings are of the highest BREEAM low carbon spec, which are totally flexible and with the rare bonus that they can be purchased outright.”

Neil Stubbs, of Vickery Holman, comments; “Modern high quality commercial property like this rarely comes up for purchase, meaning many businesses are forced to rent when it often would make more sense for them to buy.

“Walker Business Park offers entrepreneurs and company directors a fresh opportunity to purchase their property with long term options for pension fund or SIPP investment.”

Another advantage of the site is that the designers have worked to specifically improve the surrounding area, installing street art and collaborative spaces whilst improving road access to the individual units.

Furthermore, a bank of secure bike stores, close proximity to the Truro Park and Ride and a plethora of car parking spaces have improved access to the site for employees.
