Commercial property adviser CBRE is losing one of its senior executives to rival Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH). Paul Jolley is transferring to the commercial property consultancy in April.

The former CBRE director will join LSH as head of property management for the North West region and lead an eight strong team of property, asset and facilities managers. “This is another senior appointment for LSH which reflects the high calibre and level of experience we seek to maintain our ambitious growth plans,” commented Manchester office head, Abid Jaffry.

During his time at CBRE, Jolley acted for a wide variety of local and national investor and development clients including British Land, Manchester Airport Group, First Property and Gordon Moon Properties.

Meanwhile, following the promotion of director Paul Cook as head of CBRE’s North West Industrial Agency, the firm has now strengthened its Manchester team with the appointment of Andrew Farrah as an associate director.

Recruited from LSH, Farrah admitted: “It is an exciting time within the sector and my new position within the CBRE team will enable me to work with a range of prestigious clients as the team enters a new phase of growth.” The Manchester agency’s client list includes: Barclays, DB Symmetry, Stoford, Argent and investment service company Threadneedle.

FBC Manby Bowdler has strengthened its team in Shropshire with the appointment of two new solicitors. Charlotte Nutting has joined the firm’s Shrewsbury office and Ian Bowker will be based at its Hall Park Way office in central Telford.

Nutting — who has worked in-house for an international bank and at a niche corporate firm — specialises in all aspects of commercial property including freehold acquisitions and disposals, asset sales and purchases of businesses and acting for lenders on secured property.

Bowker, a law and politics graduate from the University of Hull, spent many years working for a large international law firm within its commercial property and development department before qualifying as a solicitor in 2011.

Within days of predicting that 2015 will be its “best year ever” the West Yorkshire-based industrial developer and asset manager In-Site Property Solutions has announced two key appointments.

As property manager Becky Callicott will work out of the firm’s Bramham head office and take over responsibility for its development and regeneration projects in Yorkshire, Derbyshire and the North-East.

And Dan Spencer, who was employed at Jones Lang LaSalle for six years, is joining In-Site as its estates manager.

Chartered surveyors, asset managers and auctioneers Landwood Group has appointed Sarah-Jayne Lishman as a graduate surveyor. She joins the business — which has offices in London, Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester — from Hopkinsons estate agency in Harrogate, where she was a full-time sales negotiator.

Carter Towler, the Leeds chartered surveyors, has confirmed the promotion of retail agent Anthony Jackson to director. In a statement the firm said: “We are delighted to announce Anthony’s promotion which recognises his hard work in setting up and expanding our retail agency department over the last couple of years.”
