Following its acquisition earlier this year of the ES Group, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has unveiled a South West “commercial property powerhouse” to expand its services across the region.

Part of the expansion has been the integration of the ES team of property and business asset specialists into the national real estate consultancy’s Bristol headquarters. LSH’s Tower Wharf offices are now home to more than 70 chartered surveyors.

Chris Price, who was at the 260-strong, consultancy-led ES Group for 26 years, has been appointed head of office in Bristol while Darren Sheward becomes head of South West region.

The latest specialist additions will boost LSH’s South West team, including its market leading valuation and corporate recovery advice for banks and accountancy firms. It also puts the agency at the forefront of the fast-growing alternatives market, particularly in hotels, caravan parks, care homes, healthcare and energy sectors.

The merger also creates the largest team of experienced business asset and plant and machinery valuers and auctioneers in the region, allowing it to offer a range of services covering the valuation and sale of all types of business assets. The office already holds around 30 online auctions each year.

ES Group’s entire Bristol team was relocated from Harford House in Frogmore Street, where the company was based for more than 20 years, to LSH’s Cheese Lane, Bristol, offices.

“I am delighted to welcome our colleagues from ES Group into the LSH family,” said Darren Sheward. “Bringing together ES Group’s highly skilled team with our own very well established business makes for a powerful combination.

“It significantly reinforces our presence in Bristol and right across the South West. We are in an excellent position to take advantage of all the opportunities a buoyant commercial property market offers.”

Chris Price added “Bringing together more than 70 surveyors all under one roof — offering a wide range of services and specialisms — means we are a commercial property powerhouse in this region.

“We have a team with expertise and strengths that complement each other perfectly and I am excited at what the future has in store for our business.”
