Back in early 2013, the tennis star purchased Cromlix, located in Perthshire, Scotland for £1.8 million. Before it even opened in April 2014, rooms were fully booked. Prices for rooms start from £200 for a small double, going up to as high as £595 for a suite. It also comprises an Albert Roux restaurant, Chez Roux.

2. Clint Eastwood – Mission Ranch Hotel

The legendary Hollywood actor and director purchased the beautiful 22-acre ranch in Carmel, California back in 1986. There are a variety of accommodations to choose from, each offering unique experiences in a number of price ranges.

3. Bono and The Edge – The Clarence

In 1992, U2 frontmen Bono and The Edge, bought the 70 room hotel in Dublin, Ireland. Originally a two-star hotel, a £5 million renovation took place over an 18-month period, turning it into a five-star 49 room hotel. It is also home to liquor rooms, bars and restaurants.

4. Robert De Niro – The Greenwich Hotel

We take a step into the world of another Hollywood icon with this next hotel. Star of Goodfellas and Taxi Driver, Robert De Niro, owns a delightful hotel situated in New York City. As well as high quality rooms, you can find a drawing room, courtyard, restaurant, spa, pool and gym.

5. David Coulthard – Columbus Monaco

Former F1 driver, David Coulthard’s purchase is a very picturesque way of closing the list.
