Peglar joins after a ten year stint at the global investment and advisory firm Blackstone, where he was Managing Director in the Real Estate Group.

In this capacity he was responsible for a variety of portfolio and asset management activities across the firm’s European business, including overseeing the management of its pan-European logistics business (Logicor) and its UK core-plus office portfolio.

During his time at Blackstone, Mr Pegler also drove significant disposals for the firm, which included the sales of Broadgate to the Government Investment Corporation of Singapore, Center Parcs to Brookfield and Chiswick Park to the China Investment Corporation.

Prior to his time at Blackstone the Chartered Accountant worked in the Investment Management team at Deloitte, specialising in services to private equity and real estate funds.

President and CEO of Kennedy Wilson Europe, Mary Ricks, said: “Mike is a tremendouse hire for KWE and his appointment is a testament to our continued expansion and growing footprint in Europe.

“He brings strong and unrivalled industry experience to our dedicated asset management team which is now over 30-people strong and manages over £1.6bn of UK and Spanish Assets. We look forward to benefiting from Mike’s expertise as we extract value from our portfolio through asset management activity.”

KWE’s team has grown to over 80 people since its IPO in 2014 with offices in London, Dublin, Jersey and Madrid.
