The Simpsons are Coming to Town

The Simpsons is one of the longest running scripted shows on television and is still going strong after 25 seasons. But have you ever wanted to be a part of The Simpsons? Visit Moe’s Tavern, enjoy a Krusty Burger and wash everything down with a Duff Beer? Well now you can, but you have to visit Universal Studios Florida to experience it.

The attraction known as Springfield Land opens this summer. As well as all the stores, restaurants and fast-food chains that we love in The Simpsons, there is also a 3D ride which has been open since 2008. The land will be built around the ride, keeping it all in one place.

Another new ride is also set to open called Kang & Kodos Twirl & Hurl which is named after the two alien characters in the show.

Speaking of the new attraction at Universal Studios, Jeffrey Godsick, President of Fox Consumer Products, said: “For the first time ever, they’re going to be able to enter a world that they’ve only seen on television – and we’re really excited to bring that world to life.

“This new expansion will broaden and deepen the already incredible experience at Universal, by bringing to life the iconic landmarks of Springfield that fans have grown to love.”

Is Springfield Land on your list of places to visit? Will you be wanting a donut from Lard Lad? Or will you be popping into The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop to get your souvenirs?
