The store will be situated in a prime location on the upper mall of the centre where it will join other top international brands including Hugo Boss, Tag Heuer, Goldsmiths Boutique and the recently opened Kurt Geiger,

Commenting on the upcoming opening, Julian Wilkinson, regional director of intu, said: “intu Lakeside attracts 25 million customer visits every year; that’s the equivalent of filling Wembley Stadium every day.

“With 70 per cent of customers being female and with a keen eye for fashion, we’re confident that an aspirational lingerie brand like Victoria’s Secret will flourish.

“Providing our customers with the retailers they want is vital to ensuring that they enjoy their time with us and go home happier than when they arrived.  It means they’ll visit us more often and that’s great news for all the businesses operating at intu Lakeside.”

Alongside adding to the premium retail offer at the centre, intu has obtained planning permission for a £100 million leisure development which will deliver more cafés, restaurants and family entertainment venues, focused around a public square.

In addition to this, planning permission has also been secured for a hotel on the site, while outline planning permission has been agreed for a £180 million retail extension, including improvements to transport links.

The new Victoria’s Secret at intu Lakeside will open in time for Christmas.
