Site 2 has been cleared and is currently being utilised as a temporary car park. Developments on this sites are expected to be predominantly of a commercial nature such as office, hotel or leisure uses with active ground floor uses at the northern end facing towards the entrance of the Malmaison Hotel. Residential use is possible on the upper floors.Site 2 is located in close proximity to the newly opened state-of-the-art Railway Station which comprises retail, cafe/bar, leisure, office and hotel accommodation. Passenger numbers through the station are in excess of 1.8million per year and the new V&A Museum of Design, which opened in September 2018, is anticipating visitor numbers in excess of 500,000 per year.
