A word or two from the current owner:
The Curry Leaf has been part of the Andover community for over 40 years. Formerly known as the Curry Garden, was opened by my father and his friends in 1980.
In 2010 the restaurant was re-acquired from a short period of lease and underwent a rebranding and refurbishment to what it is currently known as: 'The curry leaf' denoting the 'leaves' from the 'Garden, as we the children ventured to run the business to how our father ran it.
What makes us different from our competitors is that majority of our customers are our regulars, some of them used to come to us when they were children with their parents and now they are bringing their own families. We pride ourselves on being honest and serving quality food without pretentiousness
The restaurant is housed in a 2 story building with the ground floor used for the customer seating area and kitchen and a small cloakroom
The 2nd floor is primarily used as staff quarters – 3 separate rooms with separate staff bathrooms, storeroom, and customer toilets. In the past, my father used one of the rooms as a party room.
The kitchen will come with an 8 burner gas cooker, a gas-operated tandoor. Two main sinks and two separate washing basins. There are two hot plates, 2 large commercial fridges, and a chest freezer in the kitchen.
