According to Gary Garrett, the Head of Real Estate Finance at Standard Bank, some leading African property markets are currently offering the greatest opportunities for investors.

Among the most attractive locations for investors are; Angola, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria and Zambia

Foreign investment in the natural resource sectors of the economies of these countries is acting as a springboard for economic development and boosting demand for quality retail and office space.

When investors think of Arica, many of them make the mistake of thinking of the continent as a single market, but conditions vary from country to country.

Before making decisions, it is important to look at the specific countries and sectors that will offer the best opportunities. Investors also need to work with local partners who can help them lower the risks and work through the complex nature of doing business in a foreign country.
