Pulsar, the creative agency, has taken occupation of an office suite at the historic Grade-II listed Abney Hall in Cheadle, Bruntwood has announced.
The firm works with the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors and provides clients, including Novartis, the NHS and Teva, with brand and marketing solutions such as campaign planning and digital media marketing. Pulsar’s Abney Hall suite will serve as the company’s new head office following their relocation from Cheadle Heath.
Managing Director at Pulsar, Melanie Kirk, said: “Abney Hall is a great place for an agency; it meets all our requirements, has a beautiful characterful, quirky element yet retains period features and is totally functional. Working out of an office that has that wow factor is great for both clients and helping retain team members.”

Following the £1 million refurbishment, Abney Hall provides a collection of small suites that can accommodate four to 24 people. The stunning period features have been retained and the location – amid beautiful parkland close to Cheadle village – makes it an attractive destination for businesses.
Abney Hall dates back to the mid-nineteenth century and has welcomed a number of distinguished visitors over the years. Agatha Christie frequently visited the hall and wrote several of her bestselling books there. Another illustrious guest was Prince Albert who stayed at Abney Hall in 1857 and described it as “one of the most princely mansions in the neighbourhood.”
In addition Abney Hall was used as the setting for BBC drama Our Zoo which aired last year.
