New Years Eve Commercial Property Parties

Posted on 31 December, 2011 by Kirsten Kennedy

New Years Eve is once more upon us, and many of you will be planning on going out for drinks with friends or to a party, and maybe some of you will be hosting parties yourselves. But for those without set plans so far, fear not, as commercial properties up and down the country will be joining in festivities and offering plenty in the way of entertainment to see in 2012.

Last year, an estimated 250,000 people gathered in London to watch an eight minute long fireworks display. Accompanying the spectacle was a medley of music from some of the greatest British musicians of all time, from the Beatles to Blur. This year promises to be just as successful, with anyone planning to watch the fireworks advised to pick their spot early. The event is free and alcohol is allowed, although glass bottles will be confiscated. There will also be free public transport between 11.45pm and 4.30am on New Years Day, so even if fireworks around the London Eye aren’t really your thing, you will be guaranteed a safe way home from central London wherever you plan to spend your evening.

Manchester is certainly pulling out all the stops this New Year too, with the vast majority of pubs and clubs remaining open well into the early hours of the morning. Commercial properties such as Mint Lounge and Boutique, plan to stay open until past four in the morning for those very dedicated partygoers. Smaller and quieter venues such as Don Giovannis and Chiquitos have arranged New Years Party menus for anyone wishing to have a slightly more peaceful entrance into 2012.

Central Manchester is the place to be for those wanting a night they will never forget, as new nightclub Uber Lounge looks to make a name for itself on the party circuit. As well as offering an exclusive VIP area for star treatment, they have drafted in celebrities, Joey and Frankie Essex from this year’s most popular television show ‘The Only Way Is Essex’, to attract paparazzi, partygoers and, most of all, people wanting to bring in the New Year with a bang!

That’s not to say that it is essential to go to a city to see in the New Year – many local commercial properties will also be throwing parties and fireworks displays to entice customers into their establishments on the busiest night of the year. Bideford in North Devon still hosts one of the most popular New Years parties of the year, with local commercial properties on the quayside are opening their doors for a ‘pub crawl’ style party. The celebrations centre around fancy dress and carnival, with a lone piper playing “Auld Lang Syne” against the backdrop of a firework display.

Commercial properties such as clubs, pubs and even shopping malls tend to attract huge crowds at this time of year, which is tremendously beneficial to small businesses in the current climate. In fact, some bar managers claim that on this night they can take up to five times the amount that is taken on a regular weekend! So support your local commercial properties this New Year, and have a good time doing it, or head to the bright lights of the city and see in the New Year in style. Whatever you do, stay safe, wrap up warm (it is winter after all!) and have a Happy New Year from all at MOVEHUT.
